This 33 sqm garden room in Southend, Essex, provides welcome additional storage and living space for our client. 

 

The brief was to create a chillout and games room area, and if possible, include storage space. 

 

Here’s what we did. 

 

We had a good-sized space to work with (6m x 5.5m) in a nice regular shape. 

 

We created a 1-metre deep storage section across the rear with an access door within the room.

 

To provide fresh air, we installed a lozenge window to the rear wall.

Our client chose to clad the steel-framed structure in a very smart looking combination of Cedarwood and Slip Brick.

 

They also chose smart, aluminium framed, three-panel bi-fold doors at the front for access and light.  

 

Finishing touches included air conditioning, composite decking with spotlights and high-quality laminate flooring.
